wow, this part is quite long. i tried to make it as explicit as possible.
however, I did not quite detailed, and some mastery of the software used is required.

The tutorial is in three steps:

-Step 1: the background
-Step 2: the character
-Step 3: Integration of the character in the background + adjustment

feel free to asking me questions in the comments.

Hello!
I was wondering about something, I just recently got ZBrush and I am kinda stuck between steps 3 and 4 - How does one apply the texture(s) to the model in ZBrush? I would also like to mention that most XNALara models have their textures in separate files (one for face, one for hair and etc.)
Thanks in advance :)

import obj -> flip UV on Y axe -> make "polygroups by UV" -> groups your polygroups depending on your textures -> then split by polygroups.

now you have a subtool for each texture.

it's a bit tedious, if I use zbrush this is mainly because it is my default 3D software and its systems rendering is very malleable and practical, for an export to Photoshop.

Thank you for your reply!
I found your solution a bit too tedious for a new guy like me, so I took a shortcut and I edited the UV in milkshape 3D (I am more familiar in it lol) and I pretty much slapped every available texture there, then I imported in Zbrush and it worked!

and it is thanks to people like you:) that extracts models from the game, I am quite unable.
Moreover, there are probably some of yours in the illustrations that I made (I do not know exactly where I did not pay attention when I downloaded) so thank you :aww:

lol it's fine. Might have been Liara and Kaidan you used. Not sure if anyone else have ported those two models O_o

I'm not great at importing, Mass Effect models are very easy to port, so I started with those. Now I'm just mesh modding training lol but thank you for the guides. I'm teaching myself on how to do renders like this. But with a personal touch.

Hey! can you help me out? I want to learn what you did on step 2 but I don't even know how to search for a tutorial >.<
I know it's a stupid question but I've looked for texture related tutorials on google and couldn't find anything quite like that =(

This is not the first time someone pointed out to me that I go a bit faster on this step. sorry ^^;

but otherwise here's a tutorial that can help you:

[link]

is made to be used in-game, so all is not to keep. more I think he does it a little rough, but the methodology is here therefore up to you to refine. :)

Thank you very much, it helped a lot!
